Latest Need For Speed Undercover Review
The latest ‘Need For Speed’ has got some poor reviews recently, but I don’t see the problem with the game.
I got the game a couple of days ago haven’t stopped playing it! With the brilliant ‘Most Wanted’ title, and then the poor ‘ProStreet’, the ‘Need For Speed’ range needed a lift. And I think that this new ‘Need For Speed’ title is that lift.
The game starts rather sudden, the opening movie sceen throws you straight into the driving action, so make sure that you’re not in the middle of a drink, like I was, when you start the game.
Overall this game is alot like ‘Most Wanted’, with many chases to escape from the rather short, and slow, arm of the law, plus with alot of high speed, action packed street races.
However, the things that make this new title better the the previous ‘Most Wanted’ is the awesome graphics and new range of cars. With a new range of cars including the Pagani Zonda F, Mclaren F1 and the Bugatti Veyron, you can race at high speeds through the streets.
Although the storyline and graphics of the game are brilliant, there are a few downsides to it. Firstly, the AI of the game is rather poor, within all of the races there are some drivers that go for the win, and then there are the ones that try to hold you up by holding you up or pushing you into a wall or on coming traffic. Most of the time when you restart a race, it will be caused by the AI, which will be followed by some cursing.
Although the game has it’s downsides, the overall play is brilliant, it’s a mix of ‘Burnout Paradise’ and ‘Need For Speed: Most Wanted’, and both of those games were great fun to play. The only thing I can advise is that when EA come to making their next ‘Need For Speed’ title, they spend a little bit more time on their AI. Overall I would rate this game 8.5/10
